Soccer
This year the Mustang Soccer Team will be very exciting to follow over the next few years. The freshman class is OUTSTANDING and one of the best groups of young men that has playing ability, character, and work ethic. In the past we have always had a great freshman class, but this year these young men are showing through Cross Country that they want to work hard and build a strong team. We have high standards to play soccer for Manor: 1. Grades, 2. Hard Work, 3. Character, 4. Playing Ability - This has ALWAYS been my philosophy - find kids that WANT to work and have goals - soccer will come from coaching and it will all fall into play to be the best. I know we are in a VERY difficult district, but these kids may be young and talented, but watching them over the next few years will be very exciting and I look forward to this season. We have a few older players that will mold these young players into what the Manor Soccer Program expects - winning with class, and losing with dignity and learning from our mistakes. WAMM!

The High Steppers are directed by Coach Chell Parkins, and lead by Captain Avileni Martinez. The High Steppers perform at every football game during the half time show and practice just as hard as the football boys do trying to get ready for a game. We may look like pretty, perfect princesses, but we work our tails off to make it look like that.

The Boys Basketball team is coming off of a seaon in which they went 27-4 and won the district championship. This year, the team will be replacing all 5 starters and 6 of its leading scorers from last season. Coach Andrews is still optimistic about this season and has been pleased with the work of the team during the offseason. As always, the Running Mustangs #1 goal is making the playoffs, and that will be the their focus.

On October 8th the MHS Golf teams attended a tournament at Terra Vista golf course in Round Rock, TX. The tournament was organized as a two man scramble, which means that two players work as a team and get the same score. The Varsity girls team took first place with a score of 83. The Junior Varsity boys team did not place but received a score of 103.
There are many tournaments scheduled in the upcoming months and if you would like to learn more contact coach James in P6.
